Vail Nature Center
The Vail Nature Center is a preserved historic 1940’s homestead located in the heart of Vail. This 7-acre gem of mountain meadows and forested creek-side trails is the perfect place to get away from everything, while still being close to everything. Plus, there’s learning opportunities (don’t tell the kids) with exhibits and programs including easy hiking, bird tours, beaver pond tours, wildflower viewing, stargazing and creek-side nature tours! All ages, and free (donations accepted). There is no parking at the Vail Nature Center, but simply take the in-town bus to the Soccer Fields stop on Vail Valley Drive, follow the path down towards the creek, and you will find the Vail Nature Center. Open Mid June, Monday-Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm through Labor Day weekend
