For event planners
Site Visit Program
Take advantage of our “Complimentary Site Inspection Program” and experience our selection of meeting venues, group dining options, offsite activities and pedestrian villages firsthand. Eligible groups must have a minimum of 50 room nights at one or more of our participating Vail properties. We will reimburse your site visit airfare, up to $500 (maximum of two planners), when you source a qualifying program through DiscoverVail.com.
Simply submit your RFP to qualify for the site visit reimbursement and indicate in the “comments” section that you would like to take advantage of coming to Vail for a site visit. Airfare will be reimbursed after the site visit has occurred and upon receipt of the paid airfare itinerary receipt. Restrictions may apply.
Vail Meetings & Events Incentive Program
The Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) Meeting and Events Incentive provides a 10% cash rebate against eligible hard costs for hosting “new” meetings and events in Colorado that take place on or before June 30, 2024.
Who Qualifies?
Incentive dollars only apply to NEW business contracted on or after April 6, 2021, when the Meeting and Events Incentive was introduced, and does not apply to existing business or recurring events, unless the meeting or event is in danger of cancellation, postponement, or relocation without program support and can provide sufficient documentation to that effect.
Why Is This Offered?
To encourage new meetings and events in Colorado rather than in one of our competitor states.
Retain meetings and events where there is a demonstrated likelihood that an event or meeting may be canceled, postponed, or relocated outside of Colorado without support.
What’s The Limit?
The minimum rebate is $3,500 and the maximum rebate is $100,000.
About The Initiative
The Colorado Tourism Office is partnering with Metropolitan State University to execute this program.
