Vail is connected with pedestrian streets (and our free in-town shuttle system) following the winding Gore Creek from Vail Village to Lionshead. A variety of accommodations are available throughout Vail Village and Lionshead. Stroll and explore shops and restaurants after your mountain adventure, bar hop at night, and more. Beyond the core villages, you’ll discover East and West Vail, both offering lodging, dining and shopping just a short drive or free bus ride away.

Vail Village

Cross the covered bridge and stroll up Bridge Street to Gondola One. In between, you’ll find a quaint village atmosphere with world-class restaurants, shops, late night hot spots and more.

Lionshead Village

Lionshead’s Bavarian-inspired village is completely closed off to cars and buses and nestled at the base of the Eagle Bahn Gondola containing an ice rink, shops, restaurants and bars.

West Vail

In West Vail, you’ll find a wide variety of shopping including grocery stores, hardware stores, fast-casual restaurants as well as access to hiking and biking trails. Directly on the free bus system, there is no need for a car with easy access to Vail and Lionshead Village.

East Vail

Like West Vail, East Vail is also located directly on the free bus system, so there is no need for a car with easy access to Vail and Lionshead Village. East Vail is located just east of the Vail Golf Course and is home to the East Vail Market and access to hiking and biking.
