The Trails Go Further Than You Think

Nature here is effortless. The wilderness starts at your hotel’s front door, and Vail’s trail network is one of Colorado’s premier multi-use systems, ranging from creekside strolls to technical runs at treeline. Two gondolas open the upper mountain to wildflower hikes, singletrack, and views of the snow-capped Gore Range, with the trail ending right back where you started.

Gore Creek runs cold and clear through the heart of the village, a blue ribbon fishery steps from the cobblestones. Farmers markets line the streets on summer Sundays, and the food on your plate comes from the valley around you.

When the day winds down, the village comes alive. Grab a quick bite or settle into a long patio dinner under the Bavarian rooftops. Live music fills the plazas, the events calendar is always full, and drinks are poured as the day finds its rhythm again. A full day in the mountains is best finished among friends and a good meal.
