Meet Winter Sports Legends in the Hall of Fame
Each year, a new class of athletes, coaches and other supporters is inducted into the Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame. Here, you can learn about legends like Gretchen Bleiler, Jeremy Bloom, Buddy Werner and dozens more who have made their mark on the mountains of Colorado.
Take a Historical Walking Tour of Vail
History comes alive on the ski museum’s popular walking tour of Vail Village. Starting at the museum, the one-hour tour starts at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the winter season and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays during the summer. At just $10 per person, it’s a great way to get a closer look at Vail’s rich history and beauty. Visitors are encouraged to schedule tours in advance by calling the museum at 970-476-1876.
Vail Ski Museum Events & Programs
Looking for fun things to do in Vail? The ski museum hosts a range of programs and events throughout the year. Get in your morning stretch before hitting the slopes during Yoga at the Museum, held Saturday mornings at 8:30 a.m. Check the museum calendar for other special events, from film screenings to inspiring talks with elite athletes.
How to Visit the Colorado Snowsports Museum
The Colorado Snowsports Museum & Hall of Fame is located on the third level of the Vail Village parking structure, adjacent to the Vail Village Covered Bridge. It’s open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free at this non-profit museum, but donations are appreciated.
