Anatomy of a Fragment featuring Gonzalo Pizarro

Event Details

Anatomy of a Fragment is a solo exhibition by Vail-based artist Gonzalo Pizarro, known for his distinctive fragmented portraiture constructed on raw wood panels.

The exhibition explores identity through layered compositions where faces are cut, reassembled, and disrupted into forms that feel both structured and unstable. Each piece reflects the tension between perception and reality, suggesting identity as something fluid rather than fixed.

Constructed on OSB wood panels, the material introduces a raw, tactile quality that reinforces the themes of fragmentation and reconstruction within each work.

On view at Chasing Rabbits in Vail from March 27 through March 29. Admission is free with RSVP.
