Vail Whitewater Race Series

Event Details

The Vail Recreation District partners with Alpine Quest Sports to host the annual Bloch and Chapleau Vail Whitewater Race Series. The races will be divided between three categories, including kayak (under 9’6″), two-person raft and stand-up paddleboard (SUP) (under 11′) with different course challenges every week. The course challenge for each event will be determined the day prior based on river flows. Each week, the two-round format will consist of an individual time trial with results determining the seeding for the second round, head-to-head race. Thanks to Hyside we will have rafts on-site at each event  for R2 teams to use. An after-party will also be hosted in Vail Village each week where product prizes will be awarded to the winners of all three categories and all participants and spectators over 21 will receive a free beer courtesy of New Belgium Brewing Company.
