Experience this performance at The Amp, Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater , a spectacular, intimate outdoor venue in Vail. Primus is characterized by its irreverent, quirky approach to music distinguished by Les Claypool’s bass-first songwriting style and eccentric lyrical themes. In 2021, Primus headed out on “A Tribute to Kings” Tour, paying homage to one of rock’s most celebrated and enduring bands, Rush. Rush has had a heavy influence on Claypool and their album “A Farewell to Kings” was the first Rush record he ever heard. It also contains his favorite Rush tune, “Cygnus X-1.” Primus will play Rush’s album in its entirety on August 12 and 13 at The Amp!
