Art in Public Places is pleased to announce the 15th Annual Vail Winterfest opening December 19th on the Gore Creek Promenade. Explore color, shape, gesture and light at this collaborative installation between visual artist Olive Moya and ice sculptor Paul Wertin.
COMMUNITY LANTERN EXHIBITION
INTERNATIONAL BRIDGE, VAIL VILLAGE
A festive field of colorful lanterns will span above the International Bridge in Vail Village including lanterns painted by Olive Moya.
ILLUMINATED ICE INSTALLATION
Some Breathtaking Little Paradise Just For Them
GORE CREEK PROMENADE, VAIL VILLAGE, begins daily at dusk until 10 p.m.
An Interactive & illuminated ice installation on view until the ice melts! Approximately 25,000 pounds of sculpted ice will transform the Gore Creek Promenade into a three dimensional canvas by celebrated visual artist Olive Moya. Meander through features measuring 5′ to 12′ tall during the day or in the evening when the illumination of the ice enlivens this interactive composition.
