Vail Oktoberfest Comes to the Antlers at Vail with Socially Distanced Celebration

Vail, Colo. – Grab your lederhosen. The U.S.’s favorite “Bavarian” village of Vail, Colorado, will resound with yodels on Saturday, September 19, 2020, as part of a fall weekend getaway package at the Antlers at Vail hotel that includes a socially distanced outdoor Oktoberfest celebration from 2-5 p.m. in the hotel’s courtyard. The package starts from $295 plus tax per night for an Antlers studio suite and includes two Oktoberfest event vouchers.

Iconic entertainer Helmut Fricker will be a highlight of the Antlers Oktoberfest – yodeling, playing his accordion and blowing his alpenhorn. And the Bavarian delicacies are complimentary, with vouchers entitling guests to a plate of Bratwurst with sides of traditional sauerkraut, German-style potato salad and more, while a cash bar provides wine and beer.

The Vail Valley’s quaint Bavarian architecture and cobblestone streets have long been a favorite Oktoberfest venue, but this year both the Vail and Lionshead Village festivals are cancelled due to coronavirus precautions. So Antlers at Vail decided to keep the accordion strains and Tyrolean hats alive with its fun smaller, socially distanced alternative, allowing guests the chance to experience the alpine tradition in Vail’s crisp fall mountain air surrounded by shimmering golden aspen leaves.
Guests are asked to bring their masks for times when social distancing is not possible. Additional vouchers are available for in-house guests to purchase at $40 each. The Antlers at Vail Oktoberfest package requires a two-night minimum stay and is subject to availability. As always, the Antlers charges no resort fees. Call 888.268.5377 or check availability here and click on “Antlers Oktoberfest” to book reservations.
