Hangout with the Family at the 2024 GoPro Mountain Games

Partner Press Release – Vail Valley Foundation

Vail, Colo., April 2, 2024 – Family fun has always been part of the GoPro Mountain Games, and 2024 will be no different. With more kids’ events, more free fun, more music, and even more dog events – families will love this year’s event more than ever before. Founded in 2002 and hosted by the nonprofit Vail Valley Foundation, the family-friendly event sits at the intersection of adventure sports, music, art and the outdoor industry and will take place in Vail, Colo., June 6-9, 2024.

Youth events and activities

The Mountain Games welcomes all generations of outdoor enthusiasts, especially kids (AKA groms). The event has a variety of youth events and activities throughout the Games. Some kids may be aiming for the Mountain Games podium, others may want to enjoy the outdoors and spectate, or simply try a new adventure. No matter the case, the Mountain Games is the place to be.

From fly-fishing clinics to SUP/Kayaking opportunities, slacklining, or the rock climbing wall for kids, and plenty of daytime music, families will find so many FREE things to do at this year’s GoPro Mountain Games, we’ll throw in a good night’s sleep in too! Even the family dog can join the free fun with Yappy Hour in Dog Town, Friday – Sunday. Find a list of all the free festivities online at mountaingames.com/venues/free-things.

Pop-Up Music Camp powered by Coletrain Music Academy

This great new addition to the GoPro Mountain Games will take place on the Tivoli lawn and includes an instrument show & tell that allows kids to get up close and personal with their favorite string instruments while being guided by a professional music instructor.
