Colorado fly fishing plus local spirits and amenity-filled accommodations is a total catch
Vail, Colorado – April 12, 2021 – The “Flights & Flies” package, one of Antlers at Vail hotel’s most popular stay-and-play packages is back – with a twist. The only-in-Vail experience, providing two guests with a two-night fly-fishing getaway to the Vail Valley’s remarkable waters and complimentary take-home Vail buff for stylish sun protection, plus a flight of five locally distilled spirits at award-winning 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirit Co., is now offered as a year-round opportunity.
The Flights & Flies package hooks guests up with the Gore Creek Fisherman for a half-day fly-fishing wade trip on scenic local waters, including the upper and lower Colorado, Eagle and Roaring Fork Rivers. Gore Creek Fisherman, known for helping anglers enjoy the finest trout fishing in the Vail Valley for over 35 years, provides flies, waders, boots, rod and reel (guest must purchase Colorado fishing license) along with the guided experience to where fish are biting.
For the ideal follow-up to a refreshing day on the river taking in the Colorado mountain scenery and angling for trout, Antlers at Vail has again teamed up with the award-winning and philanthropic 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirit Co for the “flights” portion of the package. The boutique Vail distillery offers an exceptional collection of house-branded whiskey, moonshine and vodka to enjoy in the cozy lounge and pub-style tasting room that is genuinely steeped in the Army infantry division’s Colorado past. The “Flights & Flies” package includes two vouchers treating guests to a flight of five of the distillery’s locally crafted spirits, a souvenir rocks glass and a $5 gift certificate good toward a merchandise purchase.
Back at the Antlers at Vail, guests can relax in the year-round outdoor heated pool and hot tubs overlooking Gore Creek, on their guest suite’s private balcony or fireside in their living room, recounting the day’s adventures. Every condominium suite at the Antlers also offers a full kitchen, dining area and an extraordinarily long list of complimentary amenities to ensure all the conveniences of home during a getaway.
The “Flights & Flies” package starts from $1,066 for two people (excluding lodging tax) in summer off-season (April 19 – May 15 and September 16 – November 14, 2021) and includes two nights in a one-bedroom condo, guided half-day Gore Creek Fisherman fly-fishing wade trip for two with gear, two vouchers to 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirit Co. and two Vail buffs. Summer season rate is $1,187 (May 16 – September 15) and winter rate is $1,266 (November 15 – April 18; subject to blackout dates and winter minimum nights’ requirements). Package pricing for larger groups/condominiums is available on request and, as always, Antlers at Vail charges NO resort fees.
