Academy of St Martin in the Fields Returns to Bravo! Vail Music Festival

Partner Press Release from BRAVO! Vail Music Festival

VAIL, CO, December 13, 2022 — Bravo! Vail Music Festival (Bravo! Vail) is thrilled to announce the return of London’s Academy of St Martin in the Fields (ASMF) for a three-concert residency, June 22-25, 2023. Violinist and ASMF Music Director Joshua Bell as well as pianist and Bravo! Vail Artistic Director Anne-Marie McDermott also join the ensemble during their residency at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater. Three other stellar orchestras – the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic – complete the orchestral series for the 2023 festival.

Bravo! Vail’s Executive Director Caitlin Murray says, “Bravo! Vail looks forward to welcoming back the Academy of St Martin in the Fields and Joshua Bell; their superb musicianship inspires us all. With the reinvigorated ability to bring a chamber orchestra from London to Vail, we renew our dedication as an international destination for classical music.”

London’s acclaimed ensemble Academy of St Martin in the Fields was added to the orchestral roster in 2016. The addition of ASMF signified a new era for Bravo! Vail—representing both the first international and the first chamber orchestra residency in the Festival’s history—which solidified the current format of four top-tier resident orchestras interwoven with a world-class chamber music series. This the ensemble’s fourth residency at Bravo! Vail where they last performed in 2018.

Bravo! Vail announces their 2023 season – taking place from June 22 through August 3 – on February 15. For more information, please visit Bravo! Vail’s website.
